Blog Intro

As this is my first post, I will give a brief description on what I intend to accomplish with this blog.

I have always had a real passion for nutrition and fitness.  I want to share my experiences(successes/fails)  I enjoy exercising, specifically running, cycling, lifting weights, pilates, and will try just about anything involving cardio!  I have recently gotten into spinning classes(45-60 minutes on a stationary bike).  I also will talk about my (almost) 59 year old dad who has really gotten into running and cycling races over the past few years.  It is never too late!

I also love food.  I enjoy all aspects of cooking(except the cleanup).  I almost never use a recipe, unless I'm baking.  I go strictly by the 'taste & add' method.  I think this comes from growing up watching my mom cook by this method.  Who I am sure learned from her mom, who learned from her mom, etc.  I will share some of my favorite recipes on here.
